I recently got my extension based on employment. So I had a 90 day non-b from 12 Feb to 12 May. On April the 9th it was under consideration. My employer went back the next day and a slip was attached to my passport granting me 90 days from the 9th of April to the 7th of July. I'm a little confused as to what I have to do now. I thought after the extension was granted I would be given a year, but would have to do 90 day reporting. I've included pictures. Can someone advise please. TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about their visa status after receiving an extension based on employment. They initially had a 90-day Non-B visa and were notified that their extension was under consideration. A slip granting them additional time from April 9 to July 7 was attached to their passport. They have missed the 90-day reporting date and are unsure of the implications of this, especially since they think they should have received a one-year extension. Community comments mention the importance of addressing the situation quickly due to the potential overstay, advising the user to contact immigration immediately.

Good Luck (y) if you can report back and let us know what happened

, remember if you're in Bangkok you need to get there BY 3:30 because that's when they stop giving out queue numbers. :/ However IF you get a queue number you will be served today.

I have seen it work one of two ways.

You clearly missed the report back date for the under consideration stamp and are on overstay,

I have seen them charge people for the overstay and then ink the one year into their passport after that

AND

I have seen them charge people for overstay and VOID the entire process so you have to start all over again from scratch getting a new 90 day Non-B visa, getting a new 30 day under consideration stamp and then getting the year extension.

It is totally up to the immigration officer on what they want to do.

That is why I'm saying have someone call them today OR go over there and sort it out. You've got until 4:30 and believe me you don't want this to come off the rails and have to start over again.

@Da***
nope just you and the blue/green receipt that you paid 1900baht for your yearly extension. Do you have that? Sometimes they let people slide without it and sometimes they don't

OK, so if I rush up there now and explain my mistake, that I thought I had to go before the 7th of July, does my employer need to be present?

Have your employer CALL the immigration office NOW seeing as you're on 4 days of overstay and see what to do.

That small paper stapled into your passport was NOT that you could stay here it was to tell you when your first 90 day report is due

Did you not go to the Immigration office on May 7th as instructed in the “under consideration” stamp?
Rex ******
But yeah he should go to the immigration office ASAP.
Rex ******
I see the May 7th for him to go to immigration office as formality in giving him the extension of stay. That is why I said that technically he is 4 days overstay now.

It doesn't matter if their extension was approved or denied they're on overstay period. :/
Rex ******
You won’t be fined but I am not sure if not going there last May 7th will affect your application/under consideration. In the past, I have missed 1 day getting the extension and it was alright. Not sure about missing it for 1 week.

@David *******
They are closed on monday, you have to go tuesday

Will I be fined, too late to go today, I will have to go on Monday...
Rex ******
Technically, right now you are 4 days overstay in case the result of the “under consideration” is that the application was denied.
Rex ******
The white slip is for 90-day reporting and it is not your extension of stay. You should have gone to the immigration last May 7th to collect the extension of stay. You can still go there today and collect.

No, because after that stamp, my employer went back the next day and I they put the slip into the passport giving me until July the 7th. My employer told me I need to go back, I assumed, to report before that date.

I don't see the stamp for Extension of Stay. Picture 2 is the Non Immigrant B visa with permission to stay till 12 may 2018, picture one is the under consideration stamp of your application, so you still need to get this 1 year Extension stamped in your passport. A part of the rules if you stay inside Thailand is that you have to report at Immigration every time you stay 90 days or longer, that is picture nr 3 with the date 7 Jul 2018 as your day for this report.
