Of that selection I prefer Bangkok by a long shot, as it's a very interesting city and I find popular beach towns cringy, but my favorite in Thailand is Chiang Mai.

it's the pattern, not the frequency. Back to back visa exempts have been regarded suspiciously since the mid 2000s.

indeed, but you can get a 30 day extension on a tourist visa in CM... And if you rent a house or condo for your stay, you are legally required to make the updates with immigration, hence me talking about the tourist visa.
