I’m planning to travel to Koh Tao, Thailand, to get my Dive Master and Scuba Instructor certification, but I couldn’t find anything about a visa specifically for scuba diving courses. Does anyone know if there’s a special visa for that, or should I just go with a tourist visa? I was thinking of staying for two months, then extending for another month. Would that work?

Also, if I hit the 90-day limit, would it be alright to do a border run to a nearby country like Laos or Singapore and then come back to Thailand to continue the course? I want to make sure everything is above board and legal—no funny business!

Anyone with experience, your advice would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

i’m living in cambodia now and when my year is up i renew my visa or move to thailand and study scuba diving. i asked online but no response about how many lessons are required for a year education visa? i contacted a school with that and other questions but they only answered that their 4 day open water course is $533.
