Hello,

I have a friend who has a Chinese passport and is due to arrive in Thailand tomorrow. Anyone knows if the regulation concerning the cancellation of the 18 countries for a visa on arrival is in effect?

Answer summary

The inquiry discusses the current status of the Visa On Arrival (VOA) for Chinese passport holders, particularly in light of recent regulations affecting travel to Thailand. The comments indicate confusion and caution due to potential bans, suggesting that travelers should check with their airlines for the latest updates before boarding.

And there is the real problem. What is real news, what is fake news, was it an idea of the toilet cleaner at the white house. was it just an idea of the security guy on an airport?

Everything gets highlighted in the press and try to find your way.

As I mentioned earlier, please ask your airline company as they have the latest updates for your travel to a country.

I truly wish they would make their minds up. The confusion for people wanting to travel to Thailand is getting almost impossible to follow.

if the air line brings him without any information into Thailand and the ban is in effect, the air line will have a big problem.

So to know if you can board to Thailand, ask the airline.

thank you for your reply. She just called the airline and they informed her that they haven’t yet received any official request from the Thai officials.
