Phil Charles Andre Bangkok Bank does not accept to give me access to e-banking WITHOUT A WORK PERMIT. I am a retiree... :-(

I openened one at Bangkok Bank Kao San Road branch in 2014, on a tourist visa. I mentioned that my intention was to retire in Thailand. Took 5 minutes. Needed my passeport and any other official document proving my ID (i had my Swiss divine licence).

Directly from my Swiss bank account to my Bangkok Bank account through the SWIFT code... Costs 0.5 Swiss Franc (0.5 USD)... Takes 24 hours...

Got my Non-O once in Thailand (2018) : 1. Entry on "ENTRY EXEMPT" (30 days), 2. then applied for "EXTENSION" (30 days). 3. About 20 days before the expiry of this extension, applied for the "Non-O", got it (valid for 3 months), 4. About 3 weeks before expiry of Non-O, applied for "One Year Extension based on Retirement". To extend every year if requirements still met (finance, lease contract, etc.). If you travel outside Thailand, you must ask for a "Reentry Permit" (otherwise you lose your "One Year Extension". Hope this helps. ;-)

So what ? As long as I pay less than 38,13 THB (all feed included) for every EUR withdrawn in Europe, still very good for me.

This is an average Exchange rate between Buying and Selling...

1 EUR bought me 38,13 THB (2018). When I withdraw now, each 1 EUR costs me only 37,02 THB, all fees included. (beginning April 2021). No loss.
