as of now 2 known ways

1) use an agent

2) Buy a condo /apartment property , bring the property contract with your passport to a bank. Banker would be more than willing to assist you. 🙃🙃

workaround , buy a condo property. Get the contract/option to purchase and head down to the bank . That being said , you have to secure a 10-20k downpayment to even get a contract.

You are better off using an agent.

i did it at DLT office btw , original yes but only for verification, photocopy only for submission.

for context i dont use agents, my application was 2 months ago.
