maybe in your world a person can be unemployed and still make money without having some kind of sponsor. I am starting to think some people either cannot read or get some kind of benefit my others getting rejected. 🙏

I would have to disagree with

Arun Thai Cooking and all the comments here suggesting an sponsor will make you inilegible for this visa. The financial requirement is 500k and the thais could care less who has the money AS LONG AS IT IS COMING OUT OF THAILAND AND THERE IS MOVEMENT IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS. Of course if you apply as a business owner YOU ARE EXPECTED TO SHOW YOUR BUSINESS MAKES MONEY THUS YOUR BUSINESS IS ACTING AS YOUR OWN SPONSOR. In your specific situation having your parents sponsor for your soft option is perfectly fine by the financial requirement and the scope of this visa. Attaching a recent case where a Japanese National applied with similar conditions at Hanoi YESTERDAY and was approved. Good luck🙏

you need to apply once the first dtv is approved. For your wife only the 500k is required they dont care about any other financials. So if you use the same account have 1 million bath . If you use another account not the same you used for the main applicant than you can have 500k I applied on the 2nd and got it on the 8th. There were 2 thai holidays in between so my application was approved really fast in Hanoi. I will post a copy of it for your records . I anticipate my wife will get hers tomorrow she applied this tuesday. I will post it tomorrow if she gets approved . Good luck🙏

SuccessfullinMalaysia i get it man but than going into the fundamentals of this visa with the financial requirement it says you should have 500k in your account. Its like when you apply for a loan the bank ask for having in your account and than digs into looking how you got it etc. The consular officer know this and when they see strange deposits they will ask themselves can this person come to our country and live without seeking or engaging in local employment .. THE ANSWER IS NO THAN YOU GET THE REJECTION AS THE OFFICIAL RESPONSE. If you dont have 500k in your account and can justify this over the course of 6 months than sorry to tell you this but you do not qualify for the DTVvisa. Maybe some people were lucky before and got it but i would not risk the non refundable fees based with these assumptions. Im very sure your parents, the company your work your uncle etc will have the 500k and can justify the financial requirement than for those cases GET AN SPONSOR is this simple. You dont have to have the money yourself but some must for the adjudication to take place. I hope this helps 🙏

You dont need an agent . If you can read and put sometime into looking where to apply what are the current requirements than you should be fine. I will recommend you to apply in neighbor countries such as Hanoi Vietnam and Jakarta Indonesia. From what i hear you have a greater chance there as they both have expedited process if you submit the right paperwork . Good Luck 🙏

i dont think the money was there enough time. I anticipate my wife approval coming tomorrow since adjudications also works on weekends and again we provided anything they can ask for . She applied tuesday night application went into pending approval wednesday morning. If she gets approved i would not consider myself the lucky one. I doubt those guys had the money long enought to satisfy the requirements and would have used the sponsor route if given the chance again to reapply without paying the fees. Tomorrow if she gets approved i will make a post of her approval process lets hope everything goes as planned 🙏

if you only provided a month this is not current at any embassy. What worked for people months ago is irrelevant at this point. Only recent applications can give you and idea of how things are working at each embassy. How did i come to the conclusion that SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE GETTING DECLINED AT HANOI. Quite simple this is not nuclear physics. Its a tourist visa after all and they want to make sure YOU CAN SUPPORT YOURSELF WITHOUT SEEKING LOCAL EMPLOYMENT. Over 60% of the questions on this group have to do with the financial requirement. YES PEOPLE STRUGLE WITH HAVING MONEY SEATING AROUND (500k thai bath as of today) WHILE THEIR APPLICATION ARE BEEN REVIEWED. Some people go with the “ what worked for my friend route” and end up wasting 340 usd. If you are one of those GET AN SPONSOR maybe your parents an uncle someone that has STABLE MONEY, season, seasonal however you want to call it that can help you satisfy the financial requirement. The moment you go with the “ this could work route “ and jeopardize your application you end up with a rejection. This is farely easy visa to get approved for. As long as you understand its fundaments scope and requirements . The moment you deviate from this….the moment you get loss in the process. I gained nothing from people rejections so this is what i give them my bast advise. SPEND THE MOST TIME PUTTING THE APPLICATION TOGETHER AND PUT AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE THUS THE REQUIREMENT FOR THE 6 MONTHS. If you are rejected than you know you tried everything. Hope this helps 🙏

Anonymous participant 766 true this is what bothers me if you dont have the funds GET A SPONSOR. The thais could care less who has the money as long as it is coming from outside Thailand. If you do have the proper paperwork tha you dont have to worry about none of this stuff. This is a farely easy visa to get if you underdtand the fundamentals and its scope. It allows you to be in Thailand for long periods and its overall cost is less than 500 usd. The moment people start asking question about the fundamentals is when they complicate their stories and the rejections occurs unfortunately 🙏

my wife is currently waiting on her dependent DTV and so far they have not requested nothing from her. My visa was approved in 3 days last week and i submitted 6 months of bank statements . I checked with 5 people that were rejected and most of them had issues with the money not been there enough time. If you friend was just ok with having recent deposits this is good for him but this was not enough for 9 other people. The fees are not refundable in case something goes wrong… WHY WOULD YOU SEND 3 MONTHS IF YOU CAN SEND 6. Maybe is because you dont have the money or you borrow it or whatever… for this reason is better to just take the sponsor route and cut all courners. During recent rejections at Hanoi i would not recommend to just send the application. YOU HAVE TO SEND THE BEST APPLICATION AND PUT AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE. This is what worked for me as of last week and what i would advocate based on personal experience in this forum. Hope this helps 🙏

I also saw many rejections too. Most of the rejections happened after the pending document check stage so i doubt they had any mistakes in their passport info etc. I suspect the adjutication officers are being more strict nowdays at hanoi as this is the only explanation i can come up to justify the recent rejections. Embassies change overtime and it seems Hanoi has at least change some part in the adjudication stage. Hope this helps
