well man i really tried to help you but cant really do more for you if you insist in going with the theory of having no reliable source of income and expecting to get the visa. With that retirement option if i was the adjuticating officer i will reject your application and tell you there is a retirement visa. Same with medical cases etc . Anonymous participant 314 i did it because of the minimal cost 340. All the other options were 50 times the dtv price at list. Also the provitions of having a business and giving a thai person 49 % of it just did not make any sense for us. But i know the DTV is just a TOURIST LONG TERM VISA after all 🙏

than plenty of people CHEATED THE SYSTEM as STABLE IMCOME IS REQUIRED FOR ANY TYPE OF VISA not just the DTV in THAILAND ANY OTHER VISA WORLWIDE. Explain me again Why and How a Digital Nomad does not need income to Qualify ? Why doing a medical treatment will allow you to move to a country 5 years and be considered normal. I have been a digital Nomad for the last 10 years of my life and what you are saying just does not make any sense. Im adding here the EMPLOYMENT SECTION OF THE APPLICATION ON ITS CURRENT FORM. MAYBE THIS WAS NOT AROUND WHEN YOU APPLY BUT SURELY IS NOW BECAUSE OF ALL THE ABUSED OTHER PEOPLE DID INCLUDING YOURSELF. It does ask question like current occupation, occupation detail and annual income. Why would they have this section if they dont NEED IT? Stop the missinformation and stop telling people WHAT WORKED IN THE PAST CREATING THE FALSE IDEA IT WOULD WORK FOR THEM NOW. If you and someone did this cheating in the past i can tell you it wont work now or qualify you now for the visa UNDER THE CURRENT TERMS. The Only visa that does not need stable income is the DEPENDENT DTV as it follows under the main applicant . On that you can just show 500k LIKE

if you are referring to me i do have my OWN REAL BUSINESS AND MADE A RECOMMENDATION FOR MYSELF ATTACHING MY COMPANY AS IT IS ON PUBLIC RECORDS . I hired myself and earn a salary from my own company. YOU DO NEED A STRUCTURE IF YOU APPLY AS A BUSINESS OWNER. THEY ASK YOU FOR INCOME IN THE APPLICATION LOOK INTO IT YOU WILL FIND IT REALLY CLEAR . The only visa under DTV that does not require JUSTIFIED income is the dependent as it will be under the main applicant. You still need TO SHOW the 500k so a million of liquid money is required for a couple but they wont care as how the dependent got the money. I worked at a US embassy as an intern in the past and can tell you money alone does not guarantee you access to a visa. For the dtv you need proof of stable income not just savings. SOME PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CHEAT THE SYSTEM AND THIS IS WHY THE VISA PROCESS IS MORE STRICT FOR EVERYONE. Do the math does 500k allow you to live in thailand for 5 years . usd/1825 = 9 usd per day. That wont be enough to even pay the rent. You stated 1 million in savings that is 18 usd still not enough. DTV = LONG TERM TOURIST VISA. Im also with you if i was older i would not trade one for the other. By the way i also dont see the DTV staying in its current form due to abuse and amount of people currently holding it 🙏

The financial requirement of 500k must be liquid and available when you submmit the application. Some people say you need to have it for 3 months when i applied for mine last week in Hanoi i sent 6 bank statements. The DTV visa is quite broad in how you can apply for it. If your finances are not up to what they require have an sponsor and go with one of the soft options. If you go with the ( your own business route) they need a structure and looking into what you are providing it might complicate the story. Stay simple and you would get the visa . Good luck 🙏

Than defend your point of view or past experiences with some type of logic because i dont buy your concept of the CURRENT financials requirements of this visa ( just having 500k in a bank account) and the information you pass on to people. IN YOUR WORLD PEOPLE JUST NEED 500k in their account THATS IT. How you come to this conclusion again ? OH because other people had gotten away with this in the past. These people ABUSED THE SYSTEM . I have been watching recent approvals at Hanoi for example and most approvals have satisfied the financial requirement of showing 6 months of continous flow of money and not some strage deposit that has no justification but the embassy MUST BELIEVE is yours. I really cant confirm or deny your claims on previous approvals for people marely providing some information as i have only be part of this group a couple of days. But i travel for a living and have a good understanding in the qualifications THE CURRENT REQUIREMENTS and the scope of this visa. Get some dental treatment or make some story and you will be fine and THAN PEOPLE FOLLOW THIS LOGIC AND GET REJECTED AND THAN SOME OTHER GUY COMES AND SUGGEST TO USE AN AGENCY. Why would you ADVISE them to follow the try and fail ROUTE or to JUST DO THE BARELY MINIMUM . You dont get second shots here is either approval or rejection. NO REFUNDS . if you can just satisfy the requirements by building a GOOD STRONG AND COMPLETE APPLICATION. WHY BROTHER WHO BENEFITS FROM SOMEONE ELSE REJECTIONS . Maybe someone does but thanks god is not me. I look at your profile picture from 2015 this is how i came with the idea you were a backpacker. I SEE SOME GOT ( past tense ) i assume. For people that did all of those sort of things is why the embassies are more strict now and thus lots of rejections. LET ME TELL YOU IN THE PRESENT. You have to justify the financial requirement WITH A LOT MORE PAPERWORK AND PROVE YOU CAN MAINTAIN YOURSELF DURIND THE DURATION OF THE VISA. Thanks to all of the abuse that happened in the past. I could care less what you think of me but i wont let you spread information that could be confusing for other people that come here with the sole intention to get help. Attaching my recent application YES RECENT AS OF LAST WEEK at HANOI when i was approved not for being lucky or by marely putting 500k in the account with no justification. THIS VISA DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO WORK IN THAILAND. Tell me again how can someone maintain themselves in Thailand with just 500k for 5 long years . Let that sink for a minute…. and please tell us how and when you got your visa . I urge you to give us this info it will help a lot of people to see how relevant and up to date your responses are 🙏
