You can get an education visa for the kids and you be added on to that. My neighbours do that.

Can I get my 60-day tourist visa stamped at an immigration office if I only received a 30-day stamp upon entry into Thailand?

This happened to me and when I was leaving he said I overstayed so I showed them the visa and they just updated the stamp on arrival.

But worth going for an extension and they will probably tell you that you have 60 days and can extend to 90 days

You are probably better off registering a BOI company to get the benefits and easier visa and work permits. Then you can have 100% ownership.
