Come on be real. On 3k a variation to say 36 (less than 1% Forex variation) only means an extra 1200 then, and you take the risk THB strengthens. If you that worried send 1550 now and 1500 later

You can (depending on passport ) enter visa exempt for 30 days and then extend it .... Thats gives you your 60 days

Your embassy gives you the answer on what options are and you are trying to get a better answer elsewhere. Good luck as a damaged passport isn't valid in 99% of places .

Extremely unlikely, airline won't risk you being turned round at final destination and then being fined . Need a new one or emergency travel doc.
