My passport got wet and damaged here in Bangkok, Thailand. The embassy said that they can issue me an emergency passport to go back home and renew my passport instead of issuing me a temporary passport to travel further. But, i already have a flight ticket booked to Malaysia. I've already tried contacting AirAsia airlines but it's difficult to reach them and contact with them person to person. So, can i contact Malaysian embassy and check with them if they can help? I also have a soft copy of my passport's bio page before it got damaged.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is facing issues due to a damaged passport while in Bangkok, Thailand, seeking to travel to Malaysia. The embassy suggests issuing an emergency passport for returning home rather than a temporary passport for further travel.
