I think this commenter is at the best joking, at the worst being sexist and insulting

@Tom ********
so you need to have a wifi connection or using a thai sim to do data over 4G/5G in order to use devyce?

I'm a bit mystified how this works, you dial a number and the call is routed via the internet to devyce which then dials out to that number in the UK (or wherever it is)

And someone calls the number you port to devyce and then device sends it to your phone via the internet

Thanks

But no mention of tax return.... so I'm guessing that it's a London-based DTV application thing?
@Paul ******
did you need to show "3 Document indicating current location" and if so what did you use please?

Stick with Germany is my advice, don't even try to cross a border till you have settled status of some kind

That's a generous way of thinking about it Jack, yeah, what you say is true about thinking under duress.

Thai dogs seem to specialise in lying out in the road, if I had 100B for each one I've driven around bla bla bla... bad luck to have one turn under a wheel though, commiserations here

you say you went Satun so I guess you are referring to a trip Tammalang Pier to Langkawi and back. I've wondered about this, and in particular the location of the immigration office at the Pier. Could you fill me in on that please? Thanks.

Context: I was more thinking of this as a mini-holiday in Malaysia rather than for visa purposes. In maybe a year's time when I'm back in Thailand.
