Talk of LTR visas on another post made me go to [members only]/ --- what follows is the popup on that site.

I'm curious to know, please, what is meant by

"note that the period of the stay permit on the passport must continue seamlessly to preserve your rights to the 10 year visa"

and

"fail to maintain your LTR visa period"

Thanks :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the requirements for maintaining rights to a 10-year Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa in Thailand, specifically emphasizing the importance of ensuring that your stay permit on the passport remains uninterrupted. This means that if you need to renew your passport, you must properly transfer your visa stamp. Additionally, it highlights the need to avoid letting your initial five-year stamp expire without applying for renewal, as well as ensuring that you do not switch to a different visa type inadvertently.

There's already multiple posts about this.

It means don't get a new passport and fail to transfer your stamp.

Don't let your 5 year stamp expire without getting approved for the 2nd 5 years.

Don't apply for a different visa and enter with it.

Same as any other visa.
