Which consulate in the region is considered the 2nd most ‘serial SETV’ friendly?
Going for my 6th SETV, last one was Vientiane, hence asking for the 2nd beat option, as I prefer to not go back to back

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the experiences of expats regarding obtaining a SETV (Single Entry Tourist Visa) in various consulates, with a focus on identifying the second most 'serial SETV' friendly consulate after Vientiane, which was previously mentioned as the site for a 6th SETV application. Users share their insights about consulates in Penang and Hong Kong, along with potential experiences in Yangon and other locations, noting factors like the 'red stamp' issues and varying experiences at different consulates.
I got a red stamp from Penang council on my 3rd SETV there. It has nothing to see about "how many visas" you have. It all depends on the office worker, nothing more.
- I just did Hong-Kong time before last (4 months ago). Hong Kong is great. Just ranked the most expensive city to live if (maybe just for expats), but it was a great experience. Consulate very user friendly. I think maybe they asked for everything. Drop off 10 minutes (plus time to go get a photo copy), pick-up 15 minutes.
The Hong Kong Thai Consulate is pretty organized and easy, in my experience (which was late 2016). Someone did have a story of being denied there recently--I don't remember the details, but I think it was for a tourist visa and was posted here.
afaik. Vientiane, Savannakhet en Penang put this stamp after 5 SETV, did no see reports of other consulates or embassies. But it would be a gamble anywhere I guess.
Consider a bit of time outside Thailand. - I call it exile:) I know its probably not what you want to hear though. I just received my 6th TR visa from Vientiane just 2 weeks ago with no red stamp or problems at the border. BUT - I regularly spend 2-4 weeks away from Thailand on my visa trips.
Its all about appearances - in out visa runs and no time outside Thailand makes it appear that you are working, which is what they care about.
Yes. Im thinking ill probably get the red stamp wherever I go this time, so Vientiane (would be 2nd visa there) maybe an option, as it avoids airport immigration on my return. Any reports of people being refused entry at nongkhai with too many SETVs? I will carry cash and proofs
