I’m coming up to a year in country on my PE (elite) visa. I have contacted customer services asking what I need to get an extension, and customer services sent me the following list:

2 Inches X 2 Photos

Departure Card (TM.6)

Elite Membership Card

TM 7 form for stay extension, STM2 and acknowledgement of overstay penalty

The receipt of TM 30 (Notification of address)

Service Fee 1,900 baht paying to the immigration officer.

Passport with valid Elite visa

My question is, does the above cover it all, and is there anything else I should be aware? no requirement to get some paperwork/stamp from MTT before I head to cheangwattana, for example

Which section do I need to queue at?

I just want to avoid the need for multiple trips to cheangwattana if possible.

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your Elite visa, you need: 2 photos (2x2 inches), Departure Card (TM.6), Elite Membership Card, TM.7 form, STM.2, acknowledgement of overstay penalty, TM.30 receipt, original passport with valid Elite visa, and 1,900 baht service fee. You can avoid multiple trips by preparing all necessary documents and heading directly to counter N1 at Cheangwattana. Note that assistance from Elite may require a fee but doing it yourself is straightforward.

I went to CW yesterday, without an elite chaperone. The service is available but with a fee, and tbh, really not required. All documents in my list PLUS a front/back copy of membership card (this wasnt listed nor mentioned in any of the paperwork checks, but was asked for by the IO - luckily i had one as Malcolm’s list did mention it 👍).

Without an elite rep, you really have to basically push in and get the attention of a (busy) IO to jump the queue. I was in and out in 30mins.

One more question:

Does my 90 report schedule just carry on as before? As in, the 90 doesnt start again from this extension date?

Funny auto corrects or my own mistakes: an for and, honk for think, phot for photo.

This is what I received from TE, an it was correct. No need for appointment or assistance or us. After you check in twice at CW, show your card at counter N1. They were most helpful. Also, I honk the phot should be 4x6 mm, but size doesn’t seem important. . . :

Regarding 1 year stay extension, if you would like to do stay extension by yourself (no need to do an appointment at Cheangwattana), you can go to immigration Cheangwattana counter N1 and present officer your membership card.

Require documents:

1. Application form TM.7 (Attached)

2. STM.2 (Attached)

3. The Acknowledgement of Penalties for a Visa Overstay (Attached)

4. Passport.

5. Passport copy of relevant pages, viz.

- Page with name, surname and picture.

- Page with issue and expiry dates of passport.

- Page with Elite Visa.

- Page with latest arrival stamp.

- Departure card (TM.6).

6. A photo of 4x6 (2 inches) (not older than 6 months)

7. Original elite card and its copy.

8. Application fee 1,900 THB.

9. Receipt of TM.30.

yep, N-1 is the counter, and Elite people are handled usually pretty fast out there

worked for us only two weeks ago. And now that I think back, I see no reason to bother with second check in if you have your card.

They might not charge you but a friend who has a lifetime elite visa (where they have to get extensions every 90 days) gets charged 2000baht by Elite to be met out there every 3 months :(

Rhett they will do your 90 day report for no extra charge (bangkok based) Thats about it though for freebies. I do mine online, so its irrelevant 🤷‍♂️

you're right I just followed up again. I must have misunderstood them on the phone originally 🙈

I just did this, if it’s your first time Elite will provide a representative for you for free. It was fast and easy, just show up on time for your appointment and you’ll be out in 30 minutes or less.

Thanks Jesse, I’ll enquire with them about this

otherwise the list you mentioned above looks accurate to what I had to bring. I actually brought more than was necessary but figured bring over -prepared rather than under.

The only reason you'd have to go to MTT would be to either file a 90 day report OR get a TM30 receipt so if you have those already you'll be okay.
Tod *********
When you talked to elite didn't they tell you to set up a time and they'd meet you out there? (They used to do that for free but now I heard they charge 2000baht to do it and you still pay the 1900baht extension fee).

no, they didn’t offer to meet me. my 90 day is up to date (done online), I have printed off the receipt/reminder page. for TM30 is the attached enough?

@J**
that's the TM30 from doing it online.

Totally okay. (y)
