Going to HCMC for a SETV this week. 

Does anyone know if they accept a lease contract as proof of accommodation?  The consulate website says hotel booking or housebook - if im staying with a thai. I can make a fake booking, but its easier to use my lease.

Hi Jon I got my SETV there back in April, and used a lease agreement with no problems. Taking the additional docs as per Tod's suggestion above can't harm though.

Also worth remembering to take copies of any docs that you submit as the only thing you get back is your passport.

you should be able to show your lease but they might ask for the copy of the thai house book and the thai i/d of the landlord.

Good point. Got a copy of the owner ID, but not the housebook. Ill book a hotel and save any drama
