, it’s difficult because these volunteers try to help. But, each case is so different.

He was yelling at the guy, why didn’t you come first thing in the morning! They are not accepting anymore overstays today!

Of course the foreigner was then upset.

I wanted to tell the guy not to go home until talking to a Thai immigration officer. But, you have to mind your own business.

I’d lived a decade here, leaving long ago, but with umpteen trips to immigration and as many annual extensions of various types over the years.

Today was the best I’d ever seen it. However, if I was one of many sitting under those tents in the heat, I may not have been so happy.

Very organized, anyway.

Get them to issue the letter with advance notice. Thammasat has been not running at full admin lately (registrar was closed all last week) because your director has to sign the letter.

Cancelling my ED visa wasn’t as easy. And you cannot get off the ED visa and onto another without an embassy visit/trip outside.

But, getting onto the ED extension is easy as pie

2 is easiest. Get an extension based on your school. Paperwork for Thammasat is very basic. Easy.

Once we’ve been here a month, we are low risk. You would think the Thai government would want visitors that they knew were clear of covid

Why not wait until you need your extension? Do it all in the same trip!
