I too have a work permit here, got it with my business visa but didn't exercise my right to work here etc, o will be cancelling it before i go to Laos (maybe HCMC, Vietnam). No questions asked about your previous work permit/visa?

you dont have to leave every 180 days, you can extend for another 180 days but may be asked for your documentation again
