It's walk in no appointment need. Must go (Monday to Thursday)

I applied for soft visa Muay Thai. I went to this gym. (I paid for 3 months)

Passport

Bank statement (I provided 1 month)

2 photographs

Muay Thai acceptance letter from the school

It takes 3 business days. The embassy was empty no waiting in line.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for applying for a DTV visa (duration of stay visa) for training in Muay Thai is relatively straightforward. Applicants can visit the Thai embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, without an appointment from Monday to Thursday. Required documents include a completed application, passport, a bank statement for the last month, two passport-sized photographs, and a letter of acceptance from a Muay Thai school. The visa processing takes about three business days, and it is advised to ensure all documentation is in order, especially regarding the acceptance letter and financial proof. There have been discussions around the need for continuous enrollment in classes to maintain the visa, and applicants report varying experiences at the embassy, with some not needing to show residence in their home country.

Hello.

Do I still need to fill up the “occupation” part?

And do I need to put the Muay Thai School for the “Guarantor in Thailand”?

Hello

Can I you reply me about Muay Thai acceptance letter in DM pls?

For the 500k, did you have some evidence of transfer added the same month? And some movements on it?

Can it be refused if it has been transferred 10 days ago with no activities on the current account? ( I use another one in another bank, and can't make the transfer on it)

Especially in my case for JK embassy

@Rachid ******
it was my savings account so the money was already there.

I don't know if you can transfer money.

My gut feeling us the the Jakarta embassy doesn't care. If you go for a soft visa I don't think they look at your financial as much.

If you go digital nomad they care more about your business. This is just my guy feeling.

Do you need to show the flight booking or accommodation in Thailand?

After requesting, you have to wait for how long to get the documents from the school ?

it took 1 day for me.

I just got denied because the letter from my gym was emailed to me and not the original copy. I applied in KL with an Australian passport
Christopher *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Michelle ******
that doesn't make sense because you can't be in Thailand when you apply so how else would you get a letter?

They want the gym to mail it to you?
Michelle *******
@Christopher ********
I know, makes no sense. The woman was unhelpful and told me it’s my problem to work out. She also said I need photos of myself in the gym.

if you can go to Jakarta Indonesia. They are super nice no waiting times and the gym I used emailed me the paperwork and I provided it to the embassy.

3 business days and you will have the visa super easy.

Hi Christopher,

Do they check if you actually attend the muai Thai lessons?

Did you have to attend the muai Thai school in person or just apply online and ask for an acceptance letter via email?

Thanks

@Jake ******
my Thai girlfriend called them and told them I was applying for DTV visa and needed acceptance letter.

They said I had to pay for classes first. Then I paid and the emailed me the letter. I applied while I was in Jakarta

once you pay for the course no one cares if you go or not. However, you will need to continue purchasing the course to satisfy immigration officers.in the near future. 1 course will not get you a 5 year visa. T.I.T

ORIGINAL POSTER
@Packard ******
I don't think this is true, for example I have already flown out of Thailand and came back in they saw the visa and did not ask questions.

The immigration officer did not ask me any questions and they have no idea if I'm here for Muay Thai or digital nomad.
Packard *******
@Christopher ********
I hope this continues for everyone's sake. But T.I.T and DTV is still very new. Do you need to 90 report? Will you pay tax if you stay over 180 days? Common sense tells me they will clamp down and short term courses for long term stays. They don't want you here because they like the colour of your hair, they want you here to get your money. If they can force you to spend more on courses every 180 days a year they will.
Andi ***********
@Packard ******
90 day report is needed, if you extend via immigration then you need to show evidence for the purpose of stay with the DTV plus the 500K THB.

I don't know what they will do in the future I am just saying what it is now.

@Packard ******
yeah that’s fine I thought would be the case, 3 months lessons purchased every 180 day slot I don’t mind at all considering it gets me 5 years in Thailand.
Packard *******
@Jake ******
you need to pay for the course first, they don't just give you a letter.

@Christopher ********
ok thanks, what about the second question as I’m in Vietnam at the moment and want to apply but won’t be able to visit the gym beforehand?
Derry *********
@Jake ******
you can do it all online

My gym has done this for 60 people already

They should sent documents in one pdf

Some embassy let stuff fly but to be sure do a 6 month course and make sure gym is a Ltd company registered with sports authority
Jake *******
@Derry ********
thanks Derry. which gym are you with mate? And where is it located?

I called the gym told them i am applying for DTV visa and I need a acceptance letter.

They said they can give me letter but I must pay for classes first.

Paid for the classes then they emailed me the letter and I applied in Jakarta Indonesia in person.
Itay *******
And after the course is over do you have to buy another one?

What happen if you leave and try back in but the course was only for 3m?
Christopher *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Itay ******
I don't know what will happen but I don't think imigration at the airport knows why you have the visa.

I don't think they know if you are taking cooking classes or digital nomad or Muay Thai.

I honestly think its a 5 year tourist visa.
Chloe *******
May I ask you a question? How much did it cost for Muay Thai class for 3 months?
Christopher *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Chloe ******
also I paid for 20 classes not 3 months everyday.
Kevin *******
@Christopher ********
is a month course enough to be eligible for soft power DTV?
Chloe *******
@Christopher ********
so, it cost you only 6300 thb?

If you stay after 3 months, do you have to buy classes again?
