Mike Park. Very likely. When I've applied for an OA in Australia I sent the past year's statement from my Superannuation Fund, which pays me a pension which is in excess of the required amount. This was sent with two copies and the original. They were not required to be notarised.
Instead of posting a picture of a dog, why don't you post a picture of the letter or screenshot of the email which rejected your application? This is actually more beneficial if you want a constructive answer. I've a lot of experience directly with the OA and could possibly assist. Just ensure you block out any personal details
If it's prescription medication just get a letter from your doctor confirming it's yours. In the extremely unlikely event your incoming baggage is searched, it's a safeguard.
If you're getting the retirement visa after you arrive in Thailand, it's called a Non-Immigration O visa (based on being over 50 years of age), NOT an OA (which is obtained in your own country). You do NOT need a police report for the O visa obtained in Thailand
Daniel Kim. I'd say the land borders might be closed to foreigners for a while, which is why the STV has been reinstalled. The STV replaced the need for border bouncing. Many of the covid outbreaks were caused by border infringements, so I'm guessing they'll be closed for a while. If you definitely need a year, I think the STV is your best bet and look at the options at the end of the nine months, with possibly either a border bounce or a covid extension. Hopefully the relaunched STV will not be so rigid in that changing to another category in-country will be possible, but common sense does not always prevail
