Jean-Pierre Karsten. Looking at the embassy website under tourist visa there is this paragraph referring to "certain countries" although it doesn't name them. Perhaps SA is one of them? We'll have to see if there are any other South Africans having the same problem
Daniel Leija. As someone who refuses point blank to use a lowlife "visa agent" I can't answer that. But why are you even asking the question? I prefer to stay legal, but that's me!! 🤣🤣🤣
Janin Ackx. The 65k month has to be done over the previous twelve months which wouldn't be possible for the OP. Sure he can do the 800k into a Thai bank account, but that's a big commitment for what he has already said is a "fact-finding mission"!
Patricia Peksa. If it's a "volunteer" visa tell your friend to stay well away from it. The bogus volunteer visas are now under scrutiny, and people who were on them before are being denied new visas outside the country. It puts a black mark on your immigration record.
Rob Harrison. Be wary of people pushing you towards agents. Always remember the thousands of baht you pay to an agent includes a certain amount for a bribe of an immigration officer. Once you start paying an agent, you're stuck with them.
