TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for extending a Non-OA visa in Thailand can vary by location. Generally, you may need to provide financial proof such as having 800,000 baht in your bank account for at least two months prior to application or demonstrating an income of 65,000 baht per month through international transfers for twelve months. Additionally, health insurance requirements differ between immigration offices; for instance, Phuket might not require a health insurance certificate if you were residing in Thailand before the 2019 regulations. However, Pattaya does require this certificate regardless of residency duration. For retirees over 75, there's a requirement for 100,000 USD health insurance. It's advised to confirm specific requirements directly with your local immigration office.

Assuming you have been in Thailand for some years as a single retiree? The annual extensions of stay based on original non O-A visa has different requirements at different Immigration Offices. They make their own rules. In Phuket if you were here already before 2019 regulation changes you don’t need the 400,

,000 baht health insurance certificate at their office. However in Pattaya you must have the insurance certificate REGARDLESS of how long you have been living here. Non O retirees don’t need. It is so discriminatory. My friends overseas cannot believe it. Just waiting for later this year when expats over 75 have to provide USD 100,000 health insurance to stay here !!!

Visit your immigration office. They will provide a list of the requirements

These are the requirements for the Phuket office. Your local office may differ slightly.
