I came to Thailand on a Non O Family Visa for 90 days. I was granted a 60 day Covid extension. My visa expires at the end of March however I would like to extend it until the end of April. So what are my best options Can I get another Covid 60 day extension or j

Should I just ask for a 30 day extention. Looking for an extension that will be less hassle/problems with immigration which I mean by: They will give me a 7 or 15 day visa extension then come back later and we will extended it more. Can any one please suggest a positive solution. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their Non O Family Visa, which is set to expire after 90 days plus a 60-day COVID extension. They are looking for hassle-free options and are concerned about potentially short extensions or complications with immigration. Most comments suggest that obtaining a new COVID extension is unlikely, and a visa run might be necessary. Alternatives include applying for a 60-day family extension or considering a one-year visa extension. Users also share concerns regarding visa complexities and potential costs associated with getting help from agents.

Well I went to the I/O in CM and they advised my wife and I that my visa can be extended under the Non O Family Visa for 60 days so we will see what happens next week when I apply. Will post an update.

It is really hard with visas now and even getting them through an agent is double the cost it used to be. There is an agent in Pattaya that has got my friend a visa a few days ago. It's one year long(well he got 15 months actually) and he paid 65k baht, if you need their details, I can message them to you.

Patricia Peksa. If it's a "volunteer" visa tell your friend to stay well away from it. The bogus volunteer visas are now under scrutiny, and people who were on them before are being denied new visas outside the country. It puts a black mark on your immigration record.

he got the visa already

You are basically out of luck. You used up your visiting family visa, and didn't get the one year extension, and you can't get another one of those without leaving Thailand. They are not giving any covid extensions for type O visas anymore. As you will not do a visa run, you have no extension options, except the the 7 days to leave Thailand stamp you will get at immigration now. You're out of luck.

he can get a family extension which means another 60 days

As you have family in /from Thailand you can get a 60 day visit family extension from immigration OR apply for a covid extension and it will be denied to get a further 7 days both 1900thb

from Phuket immigration.... may or may not be up to date,,, may or may not be the same for your immigration office... suggest you visit the immigration office you intend to use to get the list from them. there is no 30 day option for you, You are not eligible for another covid extension.

You could extend the family visa for 12 months?

Thsnks for the input however that is not an option at this moment
Bobby ********
Larry Stevenson. Yes. Although your time is limited. Do you have 400k baht already in a bank account? If not you can apply for the 60-day visit family extension (if you've not already used it), which will give you the two months for the money to "mature".
Bobby ********
Larry Stevenson. You can move from a covid extension to a non-O (family) visa

I can here on that type of visa and I can go back to it?

Your best option is to go to a neighbouring country and do a visa run. They are not giving covid extensions to those who have had Non O anymore
