This gentleman is from ministry of FA. They set the visa. Implementation of the rules is down to immigration. Totally different body.
So in reality, how this visa will actually work is unknown. At the end of the day, immigration has the power when it comes to who enters Thailand. And they have yet given any guidance on this visa. So right now it’s wait and see what happens.
No one can say for sure. People talk like they know are full of it. Even Thai immigration don’t know. We will have to wait and see. The confusion is that ministry who make up these visas are not the ones that enforce immigration or are responsible for immigration matters.
Only correct answer is no one knows 100%. Those that give you clear straight answer are talking out of their ass. Thai immigration enforces immigration matters can have different interpretation to foreign affairs who issues the visa. We will have to wait and see.
Did they actually reject the application or are they asking for more documentation? Any possibility to wait for a month and submit the doc then thereby not wasting your application fee?
