Yes that requires 29k per year income of 88.5 in bank. I can see the earnings but if not working almost 90k in bank is ridiculous. We know why that is but it penalises others.
You apply at VFS And NOT at the Embassy. The government outsourced visa and passports a long time ago. Are you looking for a visitor visa or a spouse visa? The 88,500 is the capital amount required or income of 29k a year. I can see why this pisses people off.
It is at the discretion of the Immigration Office. The MFA website makes that very clear. Having a visa does not mean you have a right to entry.. Seems to be surface level checks anyway.
I attended 2 DTV promotion events run by TAT. At each it was said people with no travel history at all would be looked at more closely. I cannot remember the exact words but it was why does someone who has never left their country all of a sudden want a 5 year visa to Thailand?
Or maybe like any other system, a certain amount of quality checks are required. This is standard SOP in any system like this. A certain % get a check. It is nothing to worry about.
1) The happy clappers are going to put this down as fearmongering and "did not happen 2) The bedwetters are going to say - be prepared as this could happen anytime and if you do not surrender your first born you will be excluded 🙂 🙂
There are many applicants where is is clear they were working on tourist or Ed visas if one was to scratch the surface. The MFA are not at all interested in this with regard to the DTV. Not in their wheelhouse.
I doubt those doing the assessment take any of that into account. They have approved those that have overstayed and been blacklisted. They have approved those where it would be obvious they have worked while not allowed. They are not looking for any of this. They have a set of criteria and look at it and are approved or not on that basis.
