Anonymous participant Have a look through previous posts in this group. Many have done exactly this. Been in Thailand on various visas including ED, B, VE for some time then obtained DTV in neighbouring countries with no issues.

Anonymous participant The form is so simple you could easily do the 8k THB service yourself. Where it would get complex is with DTA and proof of tax paid at source before remittance etc. If you are in that complex situation then go to tax consultants that have been around a long time and not since 2023 🙂 🙂

There are plenty of accountants who will take your money to file your tax submission. Some of trhe more well known expat ones start at 8k for a simple straightforward submission of the info you supply them 🙂 🙂

Can I get a Thai motorbike license while holding a DTV visa?

The schools will do this for you too. There were more just taking the test than actually getting lessons. The online test was taken at same school test centre. Basically you are paying for convenience and 100% pass rate.

It happens, rarely, when the embassy considers the METV is a more appropriate visa for the Soft Power you applied with. What length of course or treatment did you apply with?

The one I used did all of that including Med & Res Cert plus the test at their test centre not DLT. If a person has not ridden a bike though it it a good idea to have some off road practice and then on road too.

Yes. I was on a course about few months ago in Chiang Mai and a handful of DTV holders did it and took their tests. The school made all the test arrangements and gave the pack to get the license smoothly at the DLT.

They may well start to check on attendance and ongoing courses in the future. This cannot be predicted with any level of certainty. Currently they are not.
