on the contrary, I find public servants in many countries are keen to provide good services, but just like the private sector are often subject to weak management and inadequate policies. A lot of us have had good experiences with Thai Embassies.

I think you mean debit/credit card? Visa and Mastercard are accepted in most shops and you can withdraw cash from ATMs. But be aware that, in addition to the fees mentioned in other comments, there is a big mark up on currency exchange which can mean you paying a lot more than you thought. Also get the app WISE for transfers to bank accounts

My bad. Found it on the app. Never found or used grab assistant in other SEA countries. I think in Cambodia it’s called Grab delivery. Cheers 👍

Thanks as ever Brandon. Does that also mean a business can’t order a crate of wine for re-sale of individual bottles? I assume not as restaurants and bars must do that. Or you need a special license?
