TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the best internet options for a condo in Thailand, weighing the use of an unlimited 5G SIM in a modem against a dedicated internet connection. Key recommendations include checking with the building's juristic office for available service providers, with users mentioning specific providers like AIS and 3BB. Some users suggest that a dedicated wired connection might be more reliable for streaming on smart TVs, while others find 5G to be sufficient for their needs. The conversation highlights that the best choice may depend on individual circumstances, such as whether one is staying long-term or frequently moving.

I bought a modem from AIS and have plenty of wifi in my condo.

It depends on your circumstance…are you staying their long term? Are you moving around every 2-3 months?…

a great SIM card to use is the AIS marathon card that’s unlimited 4g/3h spores and you don’t get throttled until you hit 100GB cost is ฿1,800 per year…

3BB fiber is great I get 800mb D/L and 550mb U/L I pay ฿775 a month, but you will have to buy a 6G router and 6G capable wires for it…

Good luck

I use 5g for TV and 2.4 for phone Internet etc

Fair enough, but then what’s ‘5g’ in your terms? The 5G standard of mobile phone networks? Or 5GHz (the frequency, as opposed to 2.4 GHz) WiFi? If it’s the latter, the question of OP was how you connect to the internet, not which Wifi frequency you use. If it’s the former, you’re comparing apples (5G; a telephony standard) with oranges (2.4GHz; a wifi standard/frequency).

BBB 631 baht/month including tax< plenty enough for my android box for my news/sports/tv shows and movies

3BB

What does the condo offer? Ethernet or fibre? Check with juristic.

Recommending companies won't help you. Most buildings only have 1 option.

Go to your juristic person office and ask about what internet provider(s) offer service for the building.
