Absolutely true. However, its still a valid question and with more answers we get a feel for the problems you might encounter, the questions asked etc. Also you get a feel for any change in attitude from thai immigration on "tourists" and whether things are changing.
You can definately be asked by both airline and thai immigration on visa exempt. Its their discretion if they do or dont. Just because some havent been asked doesnt mean you wont be
its true a little bit. Ive been asked to show onward travel within 60 days on one occassion so you need to be ready to deal with it at check in. Took.a good 5-10 mins before they allowed me to check in
