I’m trying to find out what are all the long term visa options for a Canadian ?

-under 50 yrs old

- not elite visa

I hear :

1. Learn Thai

2. Muay Thai

3. Combat

4. Cooking

Are there any other options?

I heard there is scuba 🤿 diving visa ?

Is this still around? Does anyone know of any schools 🏫?

I wanted to get a metv visa for six months but do you think it is a problem to leave and re-enter Thailand every two months with the restrictions that exist in neighboring countries or is it possible not to leave by paying a tax at the immigration office? If it were a problem I can apply for a visa to study the Thai language .. I am not vaccinated. Thanks let me know what you think

Anyone have a suggestion on a long stay visa for a family of 4? We are thinking Thai language visa but want to make sure our kids 1&3 will be able to join. Language school isn’t sure about our kids. Anyone on here have advice? We’re cutting it close as our fights are in October. Want to be there a minimum 8 months if possible. Neither of us are over 50.

I'm a UK citizen and came to Thailand Nov 2017. Back in UK at moment. History:

* Ed visa (martial arts) 1 year

* Tourist visa (60 day + extension)

* Visa exempt (30 day + extension)

* Home

My long-term plan is to get a Thai Elite visa, but I would like to come back to Thailand this year (Oct). I know that's a few months away but would appreciate any advice.

Based on the above, my questions:

1. Would a Thai language visa be ok or is this a big no-no considering I've already had an ed visa? I don't want to waste money paying a school only to be denied at a consulate.

1. Could I apply for a particular visa in my country to better secure my entry before I leave?

I’ve been over the land border twice on visa entry stamps (bus to Myanmar). I’ve now applied for a 12 month Thai language visa, but the paperwork has taken much longer than intended. This means I need to leave and come back into Thailand before I get my paperwork (the paperwork I need to activate the visa). I’ll need to leave a 2nd time after I get back, to activate my language visa.

Will I be able to get back in the 1st time to get my paperwork etc? My language school wrote a letter, and told me I’ll be able to get in... but when I left Thailand today, they told me I would have to get another tourist visa...

Can anyone please confirm

Has anyone had a similar problem? A friend was picking up his passport(Savannakhet Embassy); he was pulled aside and integrated for 45mins. This is his second Ed Visa(first-Thai language, now English), his plan was to learn Thai, English, and next to apply for a teaching job(B.A. in teaching). He is from Indonesia, has had 5 tourist visas in the past two years.

Question: is it possible to ask Chanwattana Immigration to reverse the cross outs and actually issue the ED Visa as stated on the visa.

I am currently on an ed visa (martial arts, originally went to Vientiane) which ends around end of November. I have a UK passport.

My plan was to get another ed visa (Thai language). I've heard in Vientiane that must be at least one calendar year after my previous.

However, I plan to only stay until June next year, and am wondering if there are simpler options? Could I get a 60 day tourist visa, then extend in country for 30 days, and do that a couple of times? Or am I likely to be fighting the system?

This has been my first year in Thailand so my passport is fairly clean.

The positive of the ed visa is I don't need to hang around borders to get back into the country. I go to immigration every 90 days and I'm done. However, is perhaps a bit expensive considering I won't be here the full term.

Would appreciate any advice.

Does this mean that because I’m taking the second level of Thai language at Chiang Mai university that I’ll be able to get another one year visa because my visa for the first year was issued in October 2017, and it is now a different calendar year?
