It needs to have been in there for three months minimum prior to your application. That's the hard rule but with this visa being as great as it is ide say try and hold onto the cash in case your ever asked again for it in future or something changes. It's the main thing they want from this visa. You should be fine otherwise however I think if you can't. No stress in sure others have spent money since also. What their trying to stop is the decades old grey areas abused by non visa holders, IE the border runs just to get another 60 day stamp, with another extension then border run again and so on. If your on the correct visa you should have zero issues for the rest of that visa. I tend to go overkill on the evidence stuff just in case but it's not been needed. Didn't even get asked for the 20k baht cash evidence on my way back in after doing a same day airplane return to Malaysia but still withdrew it before leaving just in case.

agreed. The only issue they have is with people abusing visa exemption and incorrect visas. I didn't even get asked to show evidence of funds on reentry

He might mean that if you want to extend your 180 days you won't be considered if you have less than 15 days left on the current stamp. But they hate doing extensions on this visa so that's understandable. I literally just left 3 days before the stamp ended, flew to Malaysia for three hours then flew back again without issues

Anonymous participant 780 nonsense. You probably got confused and saw them redirecting people to the TDAC desk. The only issues I have heard of were right at the start when there was uncertainty about the new dtv visa but everyone knows what it is now.

twice so far, both times easy as ever and zero questions. Second one was a same day reentry via plan to and from Malaysia, again, no issues. Not saying everyone has this experience but in my case, I'm grateful to say it's been pretty easy.
