This is worth a watch. I'm not too worried about DTV but definitely food for thought.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around differing opinions on the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand, particularly critiquing a YouTube video that presents negative views about the DTV. Some users defend the DTV, asserting they've had smooth experiences re-entering Thailand on this visa without issues. Critics argue that the video's claims about entry denials and visa misuse are exaggerated or unfounded, labeling the video and its creator as clickbait. Participants note that misinformation may be driven by personal agendas, possibly linked to immigration firms trying to stir fear for business purposes, while others deflect concerns asserting that DTV holders can comfortably reside in Thailand.

Visa agents are getting desperate lately aren't they 😂😂 No we don't need an agent to help us re-enter on our 5 year visa lol. Thank you for the heads up anyway

Benjamin Hart claims, without evidence, that the guy who was denied entry after doing a border run at Nong Khai on visa exempt would have been denied on a DTV too, because apparently he got denied due to working online in Thailand.

That analysis is inaccurate, yet if he sees this thread, he'll probably do a video about it just like he did about a month ago from a post made about him 3 or 4 months ago in this very group.

his analysis on the topic of the DTV has consistently been incorrect. Despite this, he continues to double down on it furthering his lack of credibility.

Anonymous participant 780 nonsense. You probably got confused and saw them redirecting people to the TDAC desk. The only issues I have heard of were right at the start when there was uncertainty about the new dtv visa but everyone knows what it is now.

Anonymous participant 780 Nope, not a fact. Provide us with your evidence. All DTV holders who've been stopped were eventually allowed to enter the country. Most of the ones stopped have been citizens of countries such as Myanmar and India.

The youtoober in this video has consistently been wrong on the DTV for more than a year. No reason to presume he’ll be correct anytime soon.

Visa border Bouncer and visa run .yes immigration get more strict and deny entry more people

Even some METV have been denied.

It is all up to immigration at airport if they see that your frequency of entry is sounding suspicious.

I agree 100% John. Most are either other nations trying to acquire Thailand's tourism economy and the other half are visa agents scrambling to generate business in light of recent changes to ed visa and how easy it is to apply for the Dtv without one and the next 5 years of not using an agent. 70k baht I was quoted for a Dtv visa and got it myself for 10k lol

100% agree. Fear mongering to acquire customers.

Many foreigner lawyers/tax consultantants are grifters. Because Thai authoritiea don't watch what they say, they feel free to fear mongering and say false things to make money.

twice so far, both times easy as ever and zero questions. Second one was a same day reentry via plan to and from Malaysia, again, no issues. Not saying everyone has this experience but in my case, I'm grateful to say it's been pretty easy.

This guy has continued to peddle anti DTV rhetoric for the last two years. So far nothing he has said has actually materialized. For example he brings up the number of individuals denied entry and then tries to link the 150 day max to DTV as well, but absolutely no evidence of DTVer being denied for being here too long. He states that the visa was meant for digital nomads who travel onward and never meant to “live” here longer. If that was really the case the visa could have been issued for a year or two years, and not 5 years

Anonymous participant 433 hes literally been wrong for almost two years on the topic. Any reasonable criticism of his claims will result in a ban from his channel. Don’t believe a word he says about the DTV, this guy knows nothing about it. Typical YouTuber 🤣

He is an immigration attorney back in the States. Not licensed to practice Thai law and his is arrogantly against DTV arguing it would harm Thailand (or his law firm business in reality). I wouldn't trust his various biased speculation just as I won't consult an American redneck about how should I immigrate to the US
