if ur in Kamala, the kodak shop on the main road does passport photos

not sure if the photos they take at immigration are good enough for a passport, BUT plenty good enough for extensions.

of course u can take ur car to Laos,( and Cambodia) done it many times, Need temp import doc from the border, pay a small fee and buy insurance

have driven over lots of the country on 4 trips or so

You used to need the cars passport ( issued at the motor vehicle dept) but not sure about that any more

dont need change plates

visa ends 17th, u must have passed thru immigration on that day

ONLY 30 day extensions issued

BUT if u have already had one 3o0 day extension you might get a 7 day ,"get out of country extension"

otherwise its 500 baht/day fine BUT pray u dont get asked for ur passport if ur on overstay

insurance is issued on the vehicle, i have never had to show my license to get it for my bike and in fact shops will do it for you. ( just got this years tax sticker and insurance for my 125 honda wave via a shop 600 baht)

lets say u use ur logic an the 800,000 is so ur not a burden on thailand in case shit goes bad

BUT u have 65,000 method< you could have zero savings
