TLDR : Answer Summary
Dutch passport holders do need a visa to enter Laos. They can either obtain a visa on arrival or apply for an e-visa online. The consensus from community responses suggests that many travelers find the visa on arrival to be a more convenient option, as e-visa queues can be longer. The cost for both options is around 40-41 US dollars.

Yes, you need a visa. There is an evisa page, but a lot of people do on arrival. No difference in price, so you may as well do it before hand.

when I arrived last week.the EVisa queues were much much longer than the Visa on Arrival. You need a photo and 41 US Dollars for the VOA.
