TLDR : Answer Summary
The query addresses whether Phuket immigration can provide passport photos for international passport renewal and visa extension needs. Responses clarify that while immigration does not assist with passport renewals, they may have services for visa extension photos. Specific locations like a Kodak shop in Kamala are recommended for taking appropriate passport photos. Additionally, there are guidelines on the photo requirements, emphasizing that different specifications exist for passport photos and Thai immigration photo standards.

Australian consulate would not accept pic from Thai immigration office. They finally took a picture themselves.

Check the requirements for renewal of your passport on your country's Embassy website.

Usually passport photos require a clear (white?) background and are 2x2 in, while the official Thai pics require a blue background and are 4x6 cm. But better check with the concerned agencies because things do change from time to time.

if ur in Kamala, the kodak shop on the main road does passport photos

not sure if the photos they take at immigration are good enough for a passport, BUT plenty good enough for extensions.
