I need to buy a refundable ticket.

I see on Expedia they have refundable less any non-refundable fees.

What has everyone’s experience been with getting all the money returned?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around buying refundable flight tickets on Expedia, with various community members sharing their experiences. Some express skepticism about Expedia's reliability and note difficulties with getting refunds quickly, especially post-COVID. Suggestions for alternative services and tips for finding refundable tickets are also mentioned, as well as the caution that a 'refundable' ticket may not always result in a cash refund, but rather a credit with the airline.

Only pre-covid experience, and Expedia were fine, as long as you cancelled within 24 hours. But not all fares offer a refundable option.

Also, if you buy a genuine, refundable ticket, be careful, because you may get your money back, but you may only be eligible for a credit with the same airline.

If youre talking flights the chances nowadays since covid of getting the money back quickly is near zero maybe 3-6 months. Expedia are quite good but they have the airlines to deal with. You dont explain why you need refundable. If we know that, we may be able to give advice

if your getting it back (cancelling) who cares? Pay $3,000.....I don;t see your point unless you are hitchhiking around the planet and do not have access to a bank account or a credit card.

Hi - can i aks a Q about how this works? The page says it is valid for 48 hours.

Do you just buy this kind of onward ticket to some future place within 48 hours before your arrival date in BKK?
