I tried under the remote worker/digital nomad category, I jump through hoops for three days sent every form document I could possibly think of, I am 100% a digital nomad/remote worker, but I was denied, applied under the soft power category was approved the next day and my wife the following day, I did not have to pay again, the consulate in Vancouver allowed me to switch categories, this is the advantage of E visa compared to in person

100% correct, E-Visa is best, all embassies and consulates are going to E-Visa anyway, so we all have to get used to it

@George *******
no I did not have to pay two times, I paid once and they allowed me to change the category to soft power activities, the consulate in Vancouver. Canada was absolutely wonderful to deal with.

@Adam ***********
absolutely agree with you, use a Visa agent/broker

If you would’ve hired a Visa agent, they could’ve taken care of all of it for you, I’ve already gotten an agent, when we get to Thailand in early November, she’s going to take care of everything for us

about the same as Vancouver Canada, very fast and efficient

It’s quite interesting some consulates/embassies are really fast like the one in Vancouver and other ones are really slow

Soft power does seem to be easier than proving you are a digital nomad or a remote worker, at least in my case when I switched categories to soft power, I was approved the next day
