@James *****
I did my DTV visas for my wife and I online at the Thai Consulate in Vancouver, it was a very easy process, way easier than going in person and jumping through all those hoops, Making appointments and waiting, no thank you, applying online is easy and simple, there was an issue with my initial application and they called me, We got it straightened out and I sent them the documents electronically, I got my visa the next day, then I applied for my wife and her DTV was approved the next day

All Thai embassies and consulates are going online only, within the next few months, I suspect

@Mohamed ******
yes I had to show the same bank statement that I used to get my DTV visa, she didn’t actually do anything, I did it all for her (us)

I paid $500 USD here in Canada, each for my wife and I, $1,000 USD total for both of us, the Thai consulate in Vancouver was easy to deal with, once I submitted the proper documents I got my visa the next day, I immediately applied for my wife and again got her visa the next day, all online, no in person to the consulate

Nobody’s going to owe any taxes, In Thailand, if they pay their taxes in their home country of Europe or North America, it’s a non-issue

You posted it on DTV forum so I assume you have a DTV visa which means you get 180 days at the airport, which means all you have to do is go to Vietnam or Cambodia for a week or whatever and come back and get another 180 days, you still have to do 90 day reporting In Thailand I’m told, you can do it online after the first time

that’s really sad, the consulate in Vancouver accepts phone calls no problem, they even called me two times to discuss my application, they were wonderful to deal with

my company is not registered, it doesn’t have to be, I’m a sole proprietor, I don’t even have to have a business license, all I have to do is submit my income every year to revenue Canada, I provided letters at different times stating all of these facts, two different bank statements, one showing my business activities as a sole proprietor, and one of my personal bank account, both have lots of money, in the end I switched categories to soft power and was approved the next day

You are lucky I own my own business, and I wrote my own letter as well, they kept requesting documents, telling me what they needed, I kept giving it to the consulate, but in the end, they did not approve me, they allowed me to switch categories to soft power, I got a letter from my dentist In Thailand on letterhead with a signature, I was approved the next day and my wife the day after
