Finally approved. Applied Chicago office aug. 24. They requested more documents on 28. I submitted them Aug. 29. And then I waited until yesterday to call them, and apparently they didn’t even see my application in their system because I had applied for a non immigrant b visa in April - June.
So, if it’s taking a while, give them a call. I actually did call sometime around Sept. 20, but the phone prompt led me to believe there was no humans to talk to. This time I selected the option to speak to someone about a “tourist visa” and got someone on the phone. There was no phone prompt option for DTV visa.
I own my own company. It’s a lead gen website. I had to write a letter approving myself to work remotely. And provide a resume, which I haven’t had to have in 15+ years. I popped some commands into Chat GPT and had it spit some stuff out. Made some minor edits, submitted, approved.
Had to open a new personal bank account and transfer the money from my business account to my personal. So, no bank history. Just a print out from the bank showing the funds (since I hadn’t got a statement yet)
