I was told directly from an agent when we were entering America that she must return every 364 days or get a re-entry permit.

No one ever asked where the money came from for me. I used the Ubon office for my initial extension and BKK for my second neither cared.

I did the maximum. I can’t remember exactly the amount but it was 3-4 transfers to get to the million baht to buy a truck. I think in the $10,000 range. It took a couple of days.

I have had very good experiences with Dr Orapon at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.

I did the mail renewal. It took less than 2 weeks and was insanely simple to complete.

I did my first marriage extension in Ubon. My second in BKK. They acted like it was a big deal but in the end it was granted with no issues. The third was a transition to retirement (tired of the marriage extension drama) in Jomtien and again, no issues.

to be fair it was a couple of years ago. But I’ve seen on another forum someone said their friend just did it and it was under three weeks.

But as you know it’s the embassy and consistency isn’t exactly a quality of theirs.

Two weeks exactly from mailing to them to it arriving back in my mailbox.

because I want to and it’s my money that I can spend in any manner of my choosing. Also because no one is going to deny me if I move. I’ve done extensions in Ubon, Bangkok and Jomtien and never had an issue.
