Do I need a multi-entry visa for Thailand if I'm spending 38 days there over two months?

We hope to spend time in Thailand but split between Cambodia and Vietnam. We need 16 days in Thailand, 14 day Cambodia & Vietnam then another 22 days making a total of 38 days in Thailand over a two month period.

Do we need a multi entry visa?

The embassy is shut today, thought I would ask here.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question raised concerns about needing a multi-entry visa for spending a total of 38 days in Thailand while also visiting Cambodia and Vietnam. The responses clarified that if the travelers hold UK passports, they do not need a visa, as they can enter Thailand visa-exempt for up to 45 days, though this may change to 30 days after April 1. Additionally, there were reminders about ensuring proof of onward travel, especially since the travelers will exit Thailand during their tour.

How will you exit Thailand after your first stay as it is likely that your airline will require proof of onward travel such as a flight ticket before the expiry of your entry stamp?

Our first exit from Thailand will be when we are on an organised tour trip on an overnight train from Bangkok to Siemreap. Our second visit to Thailand will be from Saigon when we leave the organised tour.

We have UK passports. Just to confirm, we can enter twice in and out with 45 days per stay? With our visits to Cambodia and Vietnam in between?

that’s good news, I was finding the explanation hard to find and getting lost between single and multiple visas. Now I know it’s no visa required that very good news.

What
@Bra****
said but depending on what dates you intend to travel be aware that the 45 day visa exempt entry is due to revert back to the usual 30 days as of April 1st. Whether it will is not known yet.

What country are your passports? If you're from a visa exempt country you won't need any visa (for Thailand) and will be stamped in 45 days each time you enter the country.
