I think the thing to really understand - which foreigners seem not to "get" - is that every Immigration Office is different in its approach and requirements. Unfortunately writers add to the confusion in making answers seem universalistic within Thailand - and they might even believe that to be true. It's no wonder applicants feel confused and alienated from the system. It's because there's no system.

Thanks Christopher, but what is needed is precise information on excess baggage. Fine this gets you the per Kg rate. It does not get you an actual cost to include the 5Kg bulking bands, whatever they are. The answer is simple. Thai have lost the business. And may people always simply vote with their feet.

Thanks for that. I think the key to this could be general performance, but that the specific is the deletion of the contact@ Could be the precursor to what has happened as the process elsewhere = customer service representatives made en masse redundant, chat bot introduced and fairly high levels of failure of that accepted. The cheap route to that is of course simply not answering, be that e-mail or calls.

Needs to be in writing. And they'll probably do the usual what's your booking number thing? The whole point is that it is a pre-booking enquiry.

Does this really have anything to do with English? It is a very straightforward administrative process with very little need to speak any language. The issue is most likely simple supporting documentation by way of visa and residence. I am seeing no absolute clarity here on those. Everyone is just casting around in a mirk without such basic information.

Have I got this right that we can right this mess by using a relative's UK address and substantiating that by driving licence connected to the same address. So in other words the only thing people do wrong is arranging with friends re address, driving licence, etc, etc, etc. From that point our only issue becomes UK telephone number - which I must admit seems harder to crack than I thought, especially as messaging on movements on bank accounts occur so much these days. Have you any comments on that? In fact any comments would much appreciated. I'd be happy to private message if you'd be happy with that, my financial position possibly being slightly unusual.
