For those who are going trough immigration and unsure of being stopped....how hard is it to carry cash of 650usd equivalent to 20k baht? You can withdraw at the atm before u board the plane to thailand.....20k is not alot one can spend that in a night after bar hopping at NANA's...you are traveling to thailand hoping for a 60days visa exempt and taking the risk of being rejected by not carrying 650usd?

The very reason is because u change phone....it happen to me before .....once in thailand go to a bkk bank atm and use your debit card to request for new ID for your new phone the atm will verify you asking to keyin your date of birth and thai phone number.....after which the atm will give u a slip of your new id and will sms u your pin ....with the new id and pin you logged into the bkk bank app on your new phone

Went to true move to get service certificate letter as my scb app was blocked.....absolutely free the service staff (truemove) taught me to use the true app to request for certificate and take SS ...the SS was enough to unblocked the app when I present it to the bank counter I've heard ppl paying 100baht for the cert....

yes it make sense...u need a re entry permit to keep your 90days nonO alive when coming back to thailand .....having a bank acct will be easier when u are ready for retirement .....just travel to thailand on visa exempt and apply for the 90days nonO in thailand

getting married is easy but getting your docs for the married visa for long term stay might not be

Elite visa is only for those who doesn't qualify for other visas and can pay upfront....myself is using the nonO retirement visa (over 50) which cost 1900baht annually... 800k is still there after 5yrs where else the 650k u pay for elite is totally gone after 5yrs

Is this for every bangkok branch? Or only some branch? I have a bangkok bank acct since 2017 but only did the 800k in 2022 my balance have gone less den 800k only for the month of June'25 and top up over 800k in july'25 ...I'm applying for extension in September does bangkok bank provide me the letter?

Not a problem to enter thailand ....but getting married and stay long term in thailand has a lot of obstacles to go though doing it yourself or use a agent depends on individuals

it's not about balance requirements....it's about the letter or statements that the bank provides needs to be stamp and signed
