Hello,

I am desperately in need of help from the experts in this community.

I have twice applied for a trailing spouse visa for my wife, but her visa application was rejected with the following reason:

"Your visa application has been rejected because Non-Immigrant O visa holders my not have dependents."

I have a Non-O retirement visa with one-year extension. We are both U.S. citizens. Wife has residency in Hong Kong so we applied there. Which of the following visa should we apply for?

1. To stay with non-Thai family residing in Thailand (more than 60 days).

1. To stay with Thai family residing in Thailand (more than 60 days).

If we select any of the retirement category visa, the document list will ask my wife for her 800,000 baht bank deposit, which is not what we want to do.

Thanks for your help.

I’ve been in Thailand for 5 months now and it looks like I’ll be soon enough running out of options from the immigration office to avoid visa/border runs to stay longer.

What’s the visa process like if I fleet Thailand for 1-2 months and come back?

Can I still get a visa on arrival, a tourist extension, etc?

Nationality: USA

Location: Phangan, but might be in Chang Mai before my visa expires

Type of Visa: Not sure. The visa prior was a covid visa extension. The visa I have today is a 45 day visa given from the Thailand border (went on a border run to Malaysia)

Time in Country: Visa expires Nov 16

Thank you guys in advance. Your help is much appreciated 🙏🏼

Hello.

I have a question about one of the requirements listed for a Non-Immigrant B application processed through the Thai E-Visa website. I am a U.S. citizen applying for an E-Visa in the United States for the purpose of teaching in Thailand.

The requirement I have some questions about is the school/university license or registration. In my research, I’ve noticed that the Immigration Bureau in Thailand, where I’d change my Tourist Visa to a Non-Immigrant B Visa if I was already in Thailand, has separate requirements for government schools/universities vs private schools/universities. The private schools/universities sections lists a requirement of a “license for establishment of the academic institute”. However, the government schools/universities section does not have this requirement. The E-Visa website does not separate requirements for government schools/universities from private schools/universities. Which means that one of the required documents I need to submit is a license or registration for my school.

The school I will be teaching at has been very helpful in preparing all of the documents I need for the Visa process, however they are unsure of what the license/registration document is. Can someone please let me know if this type of document exists for government schools in Thailand? If so, who issues this document for government schools and is there a more specific name for the document so I can inform my school.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone,

I’m a U.S citizen residing in Thailand. My covid extension ends in March 7 and I plan to fly back home for about two weeks to visit my family. I wanted to know if I can return to Thailand with a visa on arrival and also what documents I would need to show when I return to Thailand.

Thanks in advance

Hello, I am from the USA currently on a tourist amnesty ending November 30. I've seen others saying they are getting until the end of the year. I'm in Bangkok, do you know if I can get extended until the end of the year?

Thanks all!

Just reported to Immigration as required and am stamped legal through the end of Nov. As an American, I wonder if this is something they will continue to do on a monthly basis as long as there are no land borders open and the U.S. Covid-19 situation remains dire. I welcome any speculation.

Hi guys I'm from America and got a 6 month tourist visa from the thai embassy located in the United States of America before arriving in Thailand.

I get a 60 day stamp when i arrive at the airport.

I'm supposed to get it 3 times which makes it 6 months.

Now i have to leave the county on October 8th.

Does anyone know if i can do a border run again?

i did the border run twice when i first arrived in Thailand, in mai sai.

I know you can't do border runs more than twice per year, but does that only apply only if you don't set up a visa before arriving in Thailand?

Or even if you got a 6 month visa before arriving in Thailand from the Thai us embassy located in the United States of America like i did, would i still be prohibited from doing a border run? Even if i went somewhere else besides mai sae?

Please let me know i am anxious about this, i looked online but can't seem to find any solid answer for my specific case.

Thank you all who help.

Just wanted to confirm when you apply for an extension, that extension starts not on the day you applied for extension, but on the day your visa runs out? I don't think you need this info to answer but Im from U.S.,this is my first time ever (been here one month) in Thailand and my SETV runs out at the end of August. I just need another 30 days and already have my plane tickets booked back to the U.S. I plan on applying for extension in Ayutthaya.
