Given the number of Indian touts I have seen in bkk I would think easy to stay and work or are they illegals.

So Australia will scrap visa requirements for Thais? Currently near to impossible to get a tourist visa to Australia and if do there is a good chance being stopped at immigration on entry.

Yes I cringe each time I hear the "use an agent" as the answer. Why support a racket where doing it yourself is so much cheaper.

300 baht is still a day's hard work on the farm in Thailand. Got to get things in perspective. The extra may have been to take the photo.

it's spelt คอรัปชั่น but evidently not in this case but 300 baht for the photo and photocopy.

I just heard from the other forum the extra 300 baht was for the photo and photocopy the passport.

He had to leave the passport and pick up later 1pm. They were wearing official looking uniforms. Immigration near Bagna road.

I bought one of these. I was only visiting the family for 3 months and they suggested perhaps I buy one of these. For their use I suspect it was a waste of money, too noisy, too slow, too uncomfortable. But I loved it. 50km flat out on the straight I stayed on the main left lane not the slow left lane until I could see someone traveling too fast behind me. How much are they now. I can't remember how much I paid, could be 30,000 baht 14 years ago.
