Has anyone in Phuket or surrounding areas done the Ranong / Kawthaung (Myanmar) ferry crossing? Can you go out and in same-day, or do you have to stay longer?
I am in the middle of my first 180 days on my DTV visa. As I will be in Ranong area in the next month, I am thinking about going over the border at Ranong/Kawthaung and getting stamped in again. I know tourists are border-bouncing and getting visa-exempt entries at that border. I'm not sure if a DTV entry (with 180 day stamp) is also possible at Kawthaung: does anyone have experience with this?
Can anyone confirm that the Ranong border is closed? I heard that the Grand Andaman club is now not open which is where I would get the boat to and was a very simple process.
Is there another way or can not due to the unrest in Myanmar?
May I introduce myself, my name is Nai Nai from Kawthaung opposite side of Ranong. I am working as a local guide(Licensed) and running some Island tours in the high season.
If you want to know some information about Myanmar Visas/Visa Run and the island tour, you can ask me I am happy to help with this. If you have guys who want to stay overnight during their visa run in Kawthaung, Myanmar, do contact me I can help them if they want.
Quick question. Is it still possible to a boarder bounce from ranong to Victoria Point in Burma? We are 3 people, one with b visa multiple entry and work permit and two with non - O visas also multiple entry????????
