I am in the middle of my first 180 days on my DTV visa.  As I will be in Ranong area in the next month, I am thinking about going over the border at Ranong/Kawthaung and getting stamped in again.  I know tourists are border-bouncing and getting visa-exempt entries at that border.  I'm not sure if a DTV entry (with 180 day stamp) is also possible at Kawthaung: does anyone have experience with this?

Yes it works, my friend did it just a few weeks ago there. In any case, in Ranong they only stamp you out if they are also willing to stamp you back in.

Please make sure the process. Some of myanmar border do not give permit to re entry.
