TLDR : Answer Summary
The Ranong/Kawthaung border is currently open for border runs, allowing tourists and visa-run travelers to cross freely. Various participants confirmed that a $10 stamp allows entry into Myanmar for up to 14 days, albeit with restrictions on traveling more than 20 kilometers inland. However, Thai fishing boats are not permitted to operate in Myanmar waters at this time, requiring special permits and visas. The North border is closed due to ongoing conflict while the South remains accessible.

Currently, not allowed thai Fishing boats go to Burma bank at the moment. It's very complicated! Burma banks was the Myanmar Sea. If you want to go to the Burma banks, you have to get a special permit and also visas.
Yes it is open. An easy border for farangs. It has its quirks like needing a crisp $10 bill but it’s a decent border and good duty free shopping to boot.
That’s a quirky border. You pay $10 to “enter” and you could potentially stay up to 14 days but you’re limited to the specific area. I can’t recall exactly but perhaps 10km or something.
