Hi everyone,

Has anyone here applied for a DTV visa using Monkey Muay Thai in Hua Hin?

I’m considering their 20,000 THB package including 35 hours of Muay Thai training and DTV supporting documents.

I would especially like to know if anyone has already received a successful DTV approval with this package, and through which Thai embassy or consulate.

Any feedback about the gym, the documents they provide, or the visa application process would be very helpful.

Thank you!
Summary so far
The community is discussing the viability of obtaining a DTV visa using a 35-hour Muay Thai training package from Monkey Muay Thai in Hua Hin. Several responses express skepticism, suggesting that such a short training duration might not suffice for a DTV visa approval, with recommendations leaning towards longer training programs (preferably 9 months or more) to enhance the chances of a successful application. Additionally, an alternative option from King of Muay Thai offering a 9-month program is mentioned as a potentially better choice.

Thanks for the feedback. I understand the concern about the 35-hour package.

I also contacted King of Muay Thai, and they offer a 9-month DTV training package for 30,990 THB.

To me, a 9-month package seems more consistent with the purpose of the DTV and may look stronger to the embassy than a package based on only 35 hours of training.

I am still comparing the different options, but the 9-month program currently seems more reassuring for the visa application.

You want a DTV based on 35 hours? Don't be ridiculous.

You need to show ongoing evidence a course for the full DTV

You have asked this before and personally still think the same. They are not likely to give you a DTV based upon 35 hours of training

A number of consulates have been known to issue an METV instead of a DTV to people who've only signed up to a 6 month course. I'd suggest you would be better to sign up for a minimum of 9 months and 12 months would be better
