I have a 12 month O-A visa , runs out on 17th April this year. I have extended my health insurance and intend to re enter Thailand before 17th. I know that I will be stamped in for a further 12months ( or to the end of my insurance cover). I will get a multi entry permit at Phuket immigration so I can leave and return after that and protect my visa. I know I will need to show my visa , passport, copies of passport and TM30, and of course there will be the fee. What other documents might I need and is there a form to fill out?

Not sure if i have a problem next time i visit Thailand. I visited Thailand from the UK 4 times in 2025, each time i returned back to the UK

Feb - Mar = 21 days

May - May =27 days

July - Aug = 31 days

Sept - Oct = 41 days

Total days spent in Thailand = 120

I realise now that i should have applied for a Visa first time around, but one never knows how things will pan out Thailand is such a beautiful country. I never thought that when i first came in Feb-Mar i would be returning another 3 times in 2025.

Thanks in advance for any comments

If youve come 2x to thailand 1 month each in one calendar year. Then find yourself needing to enter again. A multi entry visa at this point would be best to get into thailand?

Assuming bank requirements are met, does one have to stay more than 180 days a year in thailand to get a multi entry retirement visa? How many years validity can a retirement visa have? Thank you.

If I obtain a DTV visa while in the US and then go to another country for one month, will my visa be cancelled?

do I need to go directly to Thailand after obtaining the DTV visa?

I am a US citizen and if I enter on a Visa on arrival can I change/upgrade to a Multi-entry Visa while I am in Thailand? I ask because I am having issues with the online e-Visa application for multi-entry in regard to my residency and the online application has no ability to offer notes/messages or upload multiple docs so doing it in person would be easier. Would an agent be able to assist if need be?

Did a 4-day, 6 month DTV visa run this week to vietnam via BKK.

Zero problems leaving, zero problems reentering, zero questions, zero verifications WRT cash on-hand or cash in a bank account.

I had *everything* ready as well (even printed leases and class payments), I did have my DTV laminated and ready to hand over.

The agent barely acknowledged me.
